Project Summary
Scope of work:
Rebuilding of sloping access (from 21.2m–6.24m OD) leading from Highcliffe Castle grounds to foreshore. Temporary works, tree protection, safety barriers, site access. Removal of existing failed structures, timbers, rocks and debris. Earthworks and removal of surplus materials from site. Supply and installation of steel ‘H’ king piles and precast concrete panels to form new retaining wall clad with locally sourced recycled hardwood. Drainage and erosion mats, stone filled gabion baskets, replacement of existing handrails and flexible paving. Placement of lightweight clay fill, top soiling, seeding and general landscaping.
