Project Summary
Scope of work:
Creation of a wildlife refuge and a new breeding habitat for the rare damselfly and a rare flower meadow.
This project was opened by I.C.E president Dame Jean Venables.
- Clearing of illegal tips and refuse, land remediation & restoration
- Temporary sheet pile works, new brick head wall with brick cut waters and new culvert pipes
- Construction of a substantial timber green heart bridge with galvanised steel and bag work
- Excavation of 700m of new meandering streams and habitat creation
