Project Summary
Scope of work:
Construction of a sheet-piled and reinforced launch ramp for the RNLI at Selsey, acting as a sub-contractor to Reside Construction, the main contractors for the new lifeboat station.
Contract included:
- Excavation and reinstatement of the existing beach to facilitate the works
- 110m² of interlocking steel sheet piles
- Reinforced concrete pile cladding and capping beam
- Concrete slipway for launch and recovery of new class lifeboats
- Alterations to existing sea wall flood defences
- Construction of an access ramp and stairs to the beach
- Reconstruction of reinforced concrete beach promenade
