MUDEFORD SANDBANK BEACH RECYCLING AND COAST PROTECTION ASSET REPAIRS

Scope of work:    

To access the EBB-Tide Delta, 100m off Mudeford Spit, and excavation of approximately 7,000m³ of existing material.

Contract included:    

• Transport, via Volvo articulated dump trucks, to previously identified depleted Groyne Bays and spread as required
• Clear blown sand from the existing promenade along the spine of Mudeford Spit and place it back into the depleted bays
• Import and place 320t of additional rock armour to strengthen and heighten the seaward-facing revetment
• Replace and repair existing Groyne markers
