Project Summary
Scope of work:
Dredge and divert the main navigational channel at Mudeford river mouth. Construct a geobag sand/shingle barrier to deflect river flow. Recover material from offshore sandbank utilising hydraulic cutter-suction equipment and floating pipelines to discharge material ashore. Load, transport and spread approx.
25,000m³ of sand/shingle to various beaches on Mudeford frontage. Additional rock armour to reinforce existing groynes. All operations are carried out in an environmentally sensitive area and programmed accordingly.
